Your app

The library is free and instant. AI headlines give you three options per screen and need a paid plan.

Headlines edit any line, or tap a suggestion

Template all 14 are free and render in your browser

Your screenshots are never sent to the image model. The background is generated on its own and your real screen is placed on top.

Device and look

“Show the whole screen” never crops your screenshot. Switch to “Fill the frame” only if you are happy to lose a few pixels at the edges.

Your screenshots stay on your device. The set is drawn and zipped in this tab; only the headline text goes to our server, and only when you ask the AI to write or translate it.

How to make your App Store screenshots

  1. Take your screenshots. Use a real device or the simulator. One per feature you want to sell — the first screen matters most, because it is the one almost everybody sees.
  2. Drop them in. Up to 10 at once, in the order you want them to appear. Drag the arrows under any preview to reorder.
  3. Tell the tool about your app. The name, one line about what it does, and optionally the key features. Headlines appear immediately, filled in from the built-in library — or let the AI write three options per screen on a paid plan.
  4. Pick a look. A template, a device frame, your brand colours and a font. Everything redraws as you change it, and you can override the frame or the headline on a single screenshot without touching the rest.
  5. Export. Tick the sizes you need and download one zip, already sorted into folders per store and device, each image at its exact pixel size.

A worked example

A habit tracker has three screens: a daily checklist, a weekly chart and a streak counter. Drop them in, type “Habitly — a habit tracker that shows your streaks at a glance”, and the library fills in “Everything in one place”, “See it at a glance” and “Your data stays yours”. Choose the Aurora template, set the background to the app’s indigo, and export. The zip holds three 1290 × 2796 PNGs ready for App Store Connect — about four minutes of work, and nothing was uploaded anywhere.

The templates

All 14 are free, on every plan. They are drawn by your browser rather than fetched as images, so they stay sharp at every export size and cost nothing to use — which is what makes the free tier genuinely free rather than a trial.

Panorama is the one worth a special mention: it paints a single wide picture and slices it across your whole set, so the backgrounds line up when a shopper swipes through them. Numbered puts a large step number behind each screen, which suits a walkthrough. On a paid plan, AI background paints custom art from your app’s description and colours.

Every size in the export

These are kept in a single list in the tool’s code, so when Apple or Google changes a requirement the export changes with it. Tick only the ones you need; each becomes its own folder in the zip.

Apple App Store

iPhone 6.9" display 1290 × 2796 Free iPhone 16 Pro Max, 16 Plus, 15 Pro Max, 15 Plus. Apple accepts this set for every modern iPhone, so it is the one size you cannot skip.
iPhone 6.5" display 1242 × 2688 iPhone 11 Pro Max, XS Max. Still accepted and useful if you support older devices.
iPhone 5.5" display 1242 × 2208 iPhone 8 Plus and earlier Plus models — the classic 16:9 home-button shape.
iPad 13" display 2064 × 2752 Pro iPad Pro 13-inch (M4). Required if your app is available on iPad.
iPad 12.9" display 2048 × 2732 Pro iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd–6th generation).

Google Play

SizePixelsPlanNotes
Play phone 1080 × 1920 Google Play needs at least two phone screenshots. 16:9 portrait at 1080 × 1920 is inside Play’s 320–3840 px range on every side.
Play 7-inch tablet 1200 × 1920 Pro Needed for your listing to be promoted on smaller Android tablets.
Play 10-inch tablet 1600 × 2560 Pro Large Android tablets and Chromebooks.
Play feature graphic 1024 × 500 One landscape banner, shown at the top of your Play listing. Mandatory for every app. Keep text well inside the middle — the edges get cropped on some surfaces.

Need the requirements rather than the tool? The App Store screenshot sizes guide covers counts, formats and the rules that get uploads rejected.

Pricing

Free costs nothing to run, so it is not a trial with a timer: it is the templates and the headline library, for as long as you want them. Paid plans add the AI, every store size and the watermark removal.

Build a set

What makes a screenshot set convert

Store screenshots are not documentation. They are read at thumbnail size, in a list of competitors, by someone deciding in about two seconds whether to tap. A few things reliably help:

  • Lead with the benefit, not the feature. “Track every habit in seconds” beats “Habit list view”. The AI headline writer is prompted this way, and the built-in library is written this way.
  • Two to five words. Anything longer is unreadable at the size it is actually shown. The tool shrinks a long headline to fit rather than letting it overflow, but short is better than small.
  • Put your best screen first. Apple shows up to three screenshots in search results and Google Play two or three. Screens four onwards are only seen by people who already swiped.
  • Keep one visual idea per screenshot. A screen that shows three things at once reads as nothing.
  • Stay consistent. One template, one font, one palette across the set. Panorama takes this furthest by running a single background across every screenshot.

And a few things to avoid

  • Fake five-star ratings, award badges or download counts — both stores can reject these, and they do not help.
  • Device frames with the wrong hardware for the size you are uploading. The tool picks the right frame per size automatically, so an iPhone 5.5-inch export gets a home-button phone rather than a notch.
  • Text crammed to the edges of a Play feature graphic. Play crops it on some surfaces, which is why the feature graphic layout here keeps everything well inside the middle.

What stays on your device

Screenshots of an unreleased app are sensitive, so this tool is built so they never need to leave your browser. The images are read locally, drawn on a canvas, zipped with JSZip and handed to your downloads folder. Our server is involved twice: once to ask what your plan allows you to export, and once more only if you press an AI button — and then it receives the headline text, never the pictures.

That is also why a saved project restores your settings, headlines, template and colours but asks for the image files again. There is nowhere for us to have kept them.

Limitations

  • Up to 10 screenshots per set, 25 MB per image, PNG, JPG or WebP.
  • Rendering happens in your browser, so a large export — ten screenshots across five sizes and three languages — will take a minute or two and a fair amount of memory. The progress bar counts real files, not guesses.
  • App preview videos are not generated; this tool produces still screenshots and the Play feature graphic.
  • Translated headlines are machine-written. They are good enough to ship for most apps, but have a native speaker read them before a major launch.
  • An AI background is abstract art, not an illustration of your app. It is deliberately prompted to leave the centre calm so your screenshot stays the subject.

Troubleshooting

My screenshot has bars down the sides

Its shape does not match the frame — for example a 16:9 screenshot in a modern iPhone frame. The gap is filled with your screenshot’s own edge colour so nothing is cropped. Switch “Screenshot fit” to “Fill the frame” if you would rather lose a few edge pixels.

App Store Connect rejected the image size

Check you uploaded the folder matching the device you selected in Connect. The 6.9-inch set goes under iPhone 6.9-inch; Apple will not accept it under a different display size.

The headline is smaller than I expected

It was shrunk to fit the space. Shorten it to four or five words and it will jump back up — which also makes it readable at the size the store actually shows.

I paid but the plan still says Free

The unlock is granted by a signed webhook from LemonSqueezy, which usually lands within seconds. The page checks for it automatically; if it has not appeared after a minute, reload. Your set is kept either way.

App Store screenshot generator questions

No. You upload the screenshots you already have, type your app name and one line about what it does, and the tool places each screen inside a phone frame on a background with a headline above it. Everything after that — the template, the colours, the font, the wording — is a dropdown or a text box. Most people have a finished set in under ten minutes.

Yes, and the free tier is free to run, which is why there is no catch: it uses the built-in headline library and the 14 templates, never an AI call. You get 3 exports a day of up to 3 iPhone screenshots, with a small CachePlex mark in the corner. The $9.00 Launch Pack removes the mark and unlocks every store size.

Never. The AI only writes the headline text and, on a paid plan, paints a background. Your screenshot is drawn on top of that background exactly as you uploaded it. It is never sent to an image model, never redrawn and never restyled. With the default “show the whole screen” setting it is not even cropped.

A zip with one folder per store and device, each image at the exact pixel size that store requires: iPhone 6.9-inch (1290 × 2796), 6.5-inch, 5.5-inch, iPad 13-inch and 12.9-inch, Google Play phone, 7-inch and 10-inch tablets, and the 1024 × 500 Play feature graphic. The full table is further down this page.

Apple shows up to three in search results and Google Play shows two or three, so the first three screens do most of the work — put your strongest feature first. Upload up to 10 if you want a complete, scrollable set.

No. The set is drawn and zipped by your own browser, so your unreleased app screens never reach us. The only thing that leaves your device is the headline text, and only if you ask the AI to write or translate it.

They stay. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account returns to Free: your projects are still listed and still open, but paid export sizes lock again until you resubscribe.

Yes, on a paid plan. Pick the languages you want and the headlines are translated in one click; the layout, frames and screenshots stay identical. The zip then has one top-level folder per language, which is the structure App Store Connect and the Play Console expect.
